What do we do?
Trade Madagascar Ltd is an "umbrella" organisation that works with Madagascan and UK companies to increase trade between the two countries. We have people in both the UK and Madagascar in order to carry this out effectively.
Activities range from Madagascan vanilla to UK exports, but particularly focus on introducing elegant Madagascan natural products into the UK marketplace. This helps to support the Madagascan economy & people, but in addition we donate 5% of all profits to notable charities.
Current trade initiatives include:
- Essential oils & plant medicines & teas
Madagascar is a leading producer of esential oils and plant medicines, some of which are unique. We are currently carrying out a project to penetrate the UK marketplace with these high quality goods. - Spices
There is a vast spice trade in Madagascar (e.g. cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, pepper, vanilla, ginger etc). We particularly specialise in vanilla. - Other Madagascan natural products
We are testing the UK market prior to introducing various other high quality Madagascan natural products. - Madagascan sales agents for UK export companies
We are currently brokering deals with Madagascan buyers for various niche UK product areas. Please contact us if your company's export strategy includes Africa/Madagascar. - Madagascar - The Movie
We also sell merchandise from the recent hit film. - Product sourcing for UK companies
We can assist with a wide variety of product sourcing for UK companies and help overcome issues such as language barriers or logistics. - UK companies operating in Madagascar
We can provide assistance to UK companies with new operations in Madagascar. For example: product sourcing, translation work, appointment of professional advisers, contacts, cultural information, business information.
Feel free to contact us if you have any queries. Every product bought or sold will increase the UK's international trade and support a severely disadvantaged country. *And 5% of profits are donated to charity.
